11 August 2021: The delivery of what will be Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm took another major step forward today as the first jacket superstructures, destined for the 1.1GW Seagreen project arrived at Port of Nigg in Cromarty Firth, ahead of their upcoming installation in the deep waters of the North Sea, 27km off the Scottish coast near Angus. The jacket components, which are to be installed as part of the foundations for the giant 1.1GW Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm, were welcomed to Global Energy Group’s Port of Nigg by representatives of project owners TotalEnergies and Scottish

Subsea 7 S.A. today announced an agreement to combine its Renewables business unit(1) with OHT ASA (Oslo Børs: OHT), subject to the customary approvals, conditions and relevant employee consultations. The combined company will be renamed Seaway 7 ASA and will initially retain OHT’s listing on Oslo’s Euronext Growth market, with a view to a future listing on Oslo Børs. On Wednesday 17 February 2021 Seaway 7 participated in De Delftse Bedrijvendagen, organised by Delft University of Technology.

Subsea 7 today announced the award of a sizeable(1) contract for the installation of the submarine cable system on an offshore wind farm project in Taiwan.

To meet environmental conditions at an Offshore Wind Farm project in Taiwan, where Seaway 7’s Seaway Yudin will install the pin-piles, a Pile Installation Frame (PIF) is required.
