Seaway 7 transiting to Taiwan, passing Panama Canal and Suez Canal at the same time

Seaway 7 would like to highlight the unique occasion of  Seaway Aimery and Seaway Moxie passing through the world’s most well-known waterways, the Panama Canal and Suez Canal, respectively. Both vessels are now making their way to the same Offshore Wind Farm Project in Taiwan.

Following the successful completion of Seaway Aimery’s latest assignment off the east coast of the US, Cable Lay Vessel (CLV) Seaway Aimery is transiting through the Panama Canal to her subsequent assignment in Taiwan. At the same time, Installation Support Vessel (ISV) Seaway Moxie is making her way to Taiwan for the same assignment passing through the Suez Canal. The “Seaway 7 Duo” will be installing Inner-Array Grid cables this summer in Taiwan.

Seaway Aimery joined the Seaway 7 fleet as a new purpose-built cable lay vessel in 2016. Since then, Seaway Aimery and Seaway Moxie have been working successfully together resulting in over 1495 km of submarine cables being installed to date.
