How to Apply

How do I apply for a position with Seaway7?

If you want to work with us, the best way to apply is online via our careers website. By setting up a personal profile you will be able to apply directly for any jobs you think are suitable. You can find all vacancies through our job search function or set up job alerts for relevant new vacancies. Seaway7 is part of the Subsea7 Group and as such, our careers site is shared with Subsea7.

What is a personal profile?

Your personal profile allows you to enter additional information about yourself and your interests. This gives us a better idea about you and allows us to approach you directly if we have a role that could be of interest to you. If you work offshore, particularly if you are looking for day-rate or contract work, simply enter the date you are next available.

Setting up a job alert

To set up job alerts you will need to register with our careers site, set up a personal profile and create job alerts according to the roles you are interested in. You can select up to seven locations, disciplines and the frequency you wish to receive your alerts. You can update these at any time. Whenever a new job matching your criteria is posted onto our site we will send you an alert in the timeframe you have selected.

Tips for a successful application – Prepare your CV

Your CV is a tool to promote yourself, your skills and your achievements. It should be used to point out all the interesting and relevant things about you, so that we can find out more.
Before submitting your CV, be sure to check:

  • You’ve included an introductory personal profile that sums up your skills and experience and explains the type of job you are looking

Your CV should include:

Name, address, contact details (telephone numbers and email addresses):

  • Skills and knowledge
  • Management and other experience
  • Achievements
  • Training and development
  • Highest level of education

If you are called for an interview

The interview is your chance to showcase your skills, abilities and personality. We are interested to find out about what you have been doing, and what you are capable of.

The kinds of questions we like to ask are:

  • Why are you suitable for this job?
  • What are your relevant skills and experience?
  • What makes you a good candidate?
  • What are your strengths and where do you need to develop your skills?
  • Why are you interested in this vacancy?
  • Why you are interested in Seaway7?
  • What are you looking for in your next job?
  • Why are you looking for a new role?
  • What are your longer-term aspirations and ambitions?

You should prepare some questions of your own to ask too. This is a great way of demonstrating your interest in the role and our organisation and shows that you have done your research and thought about where you want your career to go. We want you to come away from the interview with the information you need to make an informed decision about Seaway7.
